Sand mixing machine is a mechanical device used for mixing sand, binders, and water to produce molds and cores for casting metal. It is an essential tool in the foundry industry, where metal casting is a critical process.

Sand mixers are strong machines for heavy-duty applications and offered 12TPH to 70 TPH as a single machine.

Our mixers are designed and built to obtain a sand with characteristics suited to ensure an optimal and efficient moulding, especially with high pressure automatic moulding machines. They are equipped with (optional) specific systems to control weight, humidity and temperature of the incoming sand, Aquatest, Which will automatically calculate the water addition needed. Pneumatic injection of additives directly in to the mixing of the sand will improve the quality of mix and reduces the wastage.

Sand Storage Hopper are used to store the Fresh, reclaimed, Return sand in large capacity. This hopper is fabricated from MS Channels, angle and plates. Bottom side of the hopper connected with Belt conveyor to take the sand from storage hopper. Specially designed Round shaped cylindrical type silos are mostly used to store No-Bake and CO2 Mould in large quantity. No-Bake / CO2 processed Reclaimed sands has less flow ability to avoid and to get easy sand flow round silos are used. To avoid the sand choking and to give the free movement the sand Special engineer uni-flow arrangement is made in the bottom of the hopper and Load cone unit is mounted inside of the hopper to avoid direct load over the conveyor. These load cone unit will carry the total sand load and it will guide the sand to move freely.

Conveyor, any of various devices that provide mechanized movement of material, as in a factory; they are used principally in industrial applications but also on large farms, in warehousing and freight-handling, and in movement of raw materials.

Belt conveyors provide an effective way to move charge material from a lower level to a higher level, such as from a scrap storage area to a holding hopper on the melt deck. They are fast, quiet and generate minimal dust.

Pneumatic conveying systems use a series of pipelines that move products by pumping air. These products typically consist of powders or granules. These systems function by moving materials through enclosed, airtight pipelines through a combination of airflow or another type of pressure.

The Classic Sand Master measures compatibility and sand strength from a 50 mm test sand sample extracted from the mixer. Water is added to the mix based on the compatibility measurements. From the sand strength measurements, the bentonite requirements are calculated and can be adjusted in small increments in following batches towards a target sand strength.

As options, the Classic Sand Master can include measurements of return sand temperature and moisture before the mixer. This is particularly relevant for low moisture contents, or for return moisture contents and sand temperatures with large variations.

Water is added in two stages : Pre-water in the beginning of the mixing cycle Trim-water after measurement of compatibility. If the moisture sensor option is included, then up to 100% pre-water can be added.

Automatic water addition via compatibility : The Classic Sand Master automatically takes and samples from the mixer, measures compatibility and sand strength and determines the necessary amount of water.

It is a casting process that involves the use of chemical binders to bond the molding sand. Sand is conveyed to the mold fill station in preparation for filling of the mold. A mixer is used to blend the sand with the chemical binder and catalyst. As the sand exits the mixer, the binder begins the chemical process of hardening. This method of mold filling can be used for each half of the mold (cope and drag). Each mold half is then compacted to form a strong and dense mold. A rollover is then used to remove the mold half from the pattern box. After the sand has set, a mold wash may be applied. Cores, if required, are set into the drag and the cope is closed over the cores to complete the mold. A series of mold handling cars and conveyors move the mold into position for pouring. Once poured, the mold is allowed to cool before shake-out. The shake-out process involves breaking the molded sand away from the casting. The casting then proceeds to a casting finishing area for riser removal, casting finishing and finalization. The broken pieces of molded sand are further broken down until the sand is returned to grain size. The sand can now be either reclaimed for reuse in the casting process or removed for disposal. Thermal reclamation is the most efficient, complete method of Nobake sand reclamation.

Furnace charging systems are designed to deliver charge material to the furnace quickly to allow for maximum utilization of the melting system. Manual charging and most magnets have difficulty keeping pace with large induction furnaces that are able to melt a full charge in less than 30 minutes. Pallet cars are designed with grooves on the top surface, which will allow the hot gases to escape easily from mould boxes after metal pouring.
